“Caged Bird”

When you look at this painting which bird do you see first? Is it the caged bird or the bird on the outside? Often times we find ourselves being that caged bird watching all the other birds fly around in freedom. We see others lives and wish we had what they have. The thing about this caged bird is, it isn’t really trapped. Take a look! There are no bars infront of it making it an open cage. We sometimes forget that our situations aren’t closed cages keeping us trapped. It is only until we realize that our lives can be whatever we want them to be. All we have to do is fly out. How silly does it look that a bird is sitting in an open cage, well able to get out but chooses to stay in, and is jealous of the free birds around it? You tell me!
